The Georgia Labor Commissioner is the state’s chief advocate for workers and job creation. The office oversees workforce development programs, connects Georgians with job training and employment opportunities, supports businesses in building a skilled workforce, and enforces labor standards related to workplace safety, unemployment insurance, and fair employment practices.

The Labor Commissioner works to strengthen Georgia’s economy by helping workers access good-paying jobs, supporting apprenticeships and career pathways, protecting workers from exploitation, and ensuring employers have the tools they need to grow. The office also responds to economic crises, layoffs, and industry changes by helping workers transition into new careers and access critical benefits.
